The standards drafting process, undertaken within CEN by its Technical Committees and Working Groups, is intended to be democratic, open and representative, and to be carried out in accordance with rules and guidance so that the resulting European Standard is acceptable to all parties. However, things do not always quite work as intended, and errors, omissions, uncertainties and inappropriate provisions can find their way into standards often, but sadly not always, accidentally.
APSR Associates have long and extensive experience of the standardisation process, and retain good relationships with many of the CEN Technical Committees involved in the Construction Sector. We can advise you about all aspects of the process either in general terms or product-specifically, and we are also willing to represent your interests either directly with CEN Technical Committee or through your National Standards Body Mirror Committee. Contact us either via our Consultancy, Seminars or Representation Services. |
