'Historical data' are test results obtained, under certain conditions, before a European Standard comes fully into force and which are then used, in full or in part, to satisfy the requirements of CE marking. Many standards allow historical data to be used as a means of avoiding unnecessary repeat testing.
In many cases, the use of historical data should be possible as long as certain requirements are met. But some Notified Bodies may be unwilling to accept such data in some cases. If you think that your historical data meet the requirements but a Notified Body will not accept them, APSR Associates can help you through our Consultancy and/or Advocacy Services. |
