Evaluation of conformity (EoC) is the process by which (a) a product is initially shown to comply with a Technical Specification (and by which the levels and/or classes of performance to be declared are derived), using Initial Type Testing (ITT), and (b) the ITT results are shown to be applicable to all subsequent products by Factory Production Control.
The requirements for EoC are written in European Standards and European Technical Approval Guidelines and, if these are correctly drafted, as a manufacturer it is sufficient simply to follow these requirements (involving one or more Notified Bodies if the Attestation of Conformity system demands it) in order to be able to use the CE marking.
If you as a manufacturer have any questions about the EoC process or are uncertain about what you need to do, APSR Associates can help you. Contact us via our Consultancy or Advocacy Services. |
